Futur en Seine 2016: business opportunities for the gi-Cluster members

Athens, 27th June 2016: The first Greek business delegation to ever participate in “Futur en Seine”, the largest European festival for Digital Innovation annually organised by Cap Digital, was “gi-Cluster labeled”. From 9 to 12 of June 2016, in the very center of Paris, the Greek Creative Tech Industry, represented by gi-Cluster’s delegation and supported by Enterprise Greece, the French Institute of Greece, the French Embassy in Athens and the Embassy of Greece in Paris, gained strong international visibility and reinforced the extroversion of its companies.

Representatives from the companies Auvious, InCity Apps, Mentat, Pegneon, Trebbble, Satori and Tekmon Geomatics, along with the managerial gi-Cluster/Corallia team, found themselves next to leading French but also multinational companies as well as other foreign delegations. The Greek gi-Cluster stand in the festival’s exhibition area (the so-called Innovations Village) was one of the biggest, thus providing to the visitors the opportunity to meet the creative minds behind the rapidly rising Greek Cultural & Creative Industries. In the midst of a very special and successful version of the festival this year, crowned with the French President’s -François Hollande- visit for the first time, the Greek delegation represented the country’s potential, took the visitors through a creative ride across their innovative products and services and attracted entrepreneurs and investors that attended the Business Days of the festival, on June 9 and 10.

In addition, on the 9th of June, an originally structured and interactive workshop entitled “Investment and Business potential of rising Greek Creative Tech Industry” was organised by gi-Cluster, highlighting the Greek entrepreneurial scene and the multiple collaboration and investment potential that it offers in the Creative Technologies and Applications sector.

gi-Cluster’s mission in Paris fell within the framework for strategic cooperation between France and Greece. This framework, validated in a higher level during the French President’s visit in Corallia in 2015, is being implemented through the actions that are planned in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Cap Digital, the biggest European business cluster for digital transformation, and gi-Cluster.
